We will respond with a quote within a 24 hour period on most projects. For all other projects, please contact our Customer Service department at (214) 826-0092 or e-mail us at info@hillprintsolutions.com.
How long does it take from the time I submit my order until you begin working on the job?

We normally will begin a project within 24 hours of receiving all necessary digital files. A proof is prepared within 24-48 hours if your files have been prepared properly. If there is a problem with your file, we will contact you immediately to keep your project moving forward.
How long will it take until my printed pieces are delivered?

Since there are so many variables in a printing project, we provide a delivery time once we begin the project (all files are in-house and approved). If you have a specific date when you need your project completed, please let us know and we will gladly let you know what is and what is not possible. Expedited, speedy, or rush schedules are available and do incur extra charges. We do everything in our power to get your order there when you need it.
Will I receive the exact quantity I ordered?

Most of the time we ship slightly more than the quantity ordered, free of charge. On rare occasions, we may ship slightly fewer pieces than the quantity ordered. Printing industry (PIA) standards allow for 10% over or under the quantity ordered. If underages are a concern and you need an exact quantity, we recommend adding 10% over your original quantity to ensure delivery of the number of pieces you need.
How do I order multiple pieces?

The best way to order multiple pieces is simply to order each item separately. You can give your elements similar names so that we know they are related. Also, be sure to put them on the same production schedule so that we can deliver at the same time.
Can you produce a piece that is a custom size?

Yes, we can print custom sizes. When placing your order, please make sure to indicate the exact finished size you desire.
What is a “proof”?

A proof is a test sheet made to reveal errors or flaws, predict results on press and record how a printing job is intended to appear when finished. Typically, we will produce a proof that is sent to you online (PDF) or printed on paper, which is viewed in our office or delivered to you in person.
Why do I need to look at a proof if I’ve already given you everything I need to have done?

Your approval on the final proof is assurance that you have looked over every aspect of our work and approve it as accurate. We do not print projects without the customer approval of the proof. It benefits everyone if errors are caught in the proofing process rather than after completion and delivery of the job.
Do I still need to approve a proof if I bring my work in on disk?

It may seem like a proof wouldn’t be needed in this case but it really is. All digital printers print differently; therefore, the appearance may change from one printer to the next. Your approval of the proof, which we will provide, assures that our printer has correctly interpreted and processed the information you have provided.
Can you do foil stamping, embossing and die cutting?

Yes, we offer a variety of custom printing options. We also can help you with projects requiring special inks, different binding techniques and finishing options (ex: three-hole punch), and much more. We can do all of this under one roof ensuring that the job is being done correctly and with the highest quality.
What is the difference in digital vs. offset printing?

Offset printing uses plates and inks to image onto paper. The make-ready process of offset varies, but often requires 20-30 minutes to burn the plates, as well as time to mount, register the plates, and bring the output "up to color". It often takes an hour or more to print a single page. Once up and running however, the economies and speed of offset printing for print runs ranging from 1000 to 2000 pages and more (depending on finished size) typically will be better than digital processes. Digital Printing uses a different technology altogether. It images typically with very fine toner. The time it takes to image the first page is usually well under a minute. This technology makes short runs, or runs from 1 to about 1000 impressions less expensive, as well as quicker to produce than offset printing.
